A Mother's Love

To my unborn child,

I love you more than words can describe.

I love you more than life itself.

I fear I will never be good enough to make you proud of calling me mother.

I fear my reckless love is not enough to make you enjoy this world.

Your father and I made you out of love.

Your father and I created you in our thoughts and brought you forth in our universe.

My child, this world may not be ready for you yet but know you are not a mistake.

My child, this mother of yours is flawed and is already thinking of denying you access to this world because there is too much at stake.

My child, this mother of yours loves you so much but is already failing at being a parent.

To my unborn child,

I promise to protect you. Even if that means letting you go. I promise this will never be the last time because you will forever be my first.
